Just to quickly start off, i'm not sure if this belongs here, but since it is a headset-related issue, I'm just going to throw it here until my issue either gets resolved, or a helpful individual directs me to where it SHOULD be posted!

So long story short, a few weeks ago the mic in my HyperX Cloud Headset started to 'fizzle' I suppose, making obnoxious (and loud) sounds to anybody on the receiving end, as well as myself. After maybe a week or two of this, the mic stopped working all together. At first the issue seemed like it had to do with the connection from the headset to my splitter, as it would work if I turned them a little (in the same way you'd do something like put in a screw by hand, I suppose), but afterwards, even that did not help. I found out by moving the actual cord, right near the jack for the headset itself, it would work. Then a few days after this, it ceased all functionality. I haven't been able to find anything pertaining to this issue online, and I assume it's more than likely to be an internal issue with the cord itself, but I don't want to try and fix it myself and risk going without any audio, despite my confidence in myself. So, that's why I've come here to ask you intelligent individuals, so I can try and troubleshoot this issue, and hopefully get my mic up and running again, as i've had no luck myself.

Thanks~

(So I have no idea if there's any way to directly reply, so im just gonna do this instead)

Anyway, i'd assume not. I bought them off a friend a few months ago, and i'm assuming he had them long before. I'm in the process of asking, but they were an old unused pair of his, so even if there were warranty, I doubt he'd have the receipt

It is not easy to fix a hardware issue. I think bringing to a local fixing shop and see what they can do. It is an odd issue tbh,

Neat, thanks. That's what I assumed, but I just wanted to make sure. Anyway, I'm generally good at fixing hardware related issues. For example, my Wii U charging cable got eaten by a dog, and my Razer DeathAdder usb connection was kinda wonky, so I fixed the charger, and replaced the cord for the mouse. Now obviously these are much simpler than a headset, but they follow the same fundamental idea for repair.
