My friend gave me his evga gtx 980 ACX 2.0 because he was upgrading to the 1080. I have an MSI gtx 980 4g. I was told they would be sli compatible so I decided to take the plunge and watercool my first pc. After putting on both water blocks and installing them I noticed that the MSI is a lot bigger than the EVGA (Width). Are these cards not compatible after all and if so what can I use for the sli bridge? I have to order more fittings from bitspower as I was counting on just a straight shot between the two cards.

Any information/help is appreciated. Thanks guys!

Only way to fix the bridge issue is with a flexible connector I think.

They will be compatible, though both your sli bridge and your watercooling connector between both card will need to be angled. You will have a better chance at achieving this with 45 degree fittings and flexible tubing, and with a flexible sli bridge

Anything works with g1/4. Just need the appropriate fitting and hose.
