I heard the trigger has a lot of onboard features which leadto issues with detection with some motherboards. Specifically ASUS boards if I remember right.

I also heard that there was at least one bad batch of the pros.

Based on that I would actually suggest going with the TK model.

If you really want a backlight, get the trigger. In terms of build quality they're fairly similar; however i personally prefer the look of the QuickFire Pro. Either one will perform equally well in terms of gaming, just down to features you want. For example, if you find you use macro keys alot, or have good use for them then grab the trigger as it has them where as the quickfire doesn't.

So basically they're the same except the trigger's got more features' date=' i guess i'll get the trigger then, thanks guys :)[/quote']

Yeah, but then the trigger does cost more so you get what you pay for really. The quickfire does present a very good price / performance mechanical board.

I would go for the trigger because it has a wrist rest and you can plug in a 5V AC/DC adapter into the keyboard to give enough power to your power-hungry usb devices for the hub on the keyboard.

thanks for your help guys i'm buying the cm storm trigger, should i get blue switches or brown switches ?
If you want the clicky sounds that a mechanical keyboard makes, get the blues. If you want the tactile feel like blues and you don't like the clicky sounds that is produced by blues, get the browns.

I think the Quickfire Pro has costar stabilizers, and I know the Trigger has cherry stabilizers (I own one). I find the space bar to be REALLY stiff compared to every other key.

I don't have a mechanical keyboard with costsar stabilizers to compare to, but from what I've heard they are better.

To me, I always wanted to try something new. Example, the clicky feedback sounds each time you type on. They're extraordinary feedback sounds compare to membrane keyboards though. That's my opinion. Again, I always asked myself, if I use them for gaming, I'll go for brown. BUT, will I go for hybrid typing same time playing and use every single key what I've paid for? Yes, I'll go for it. But in my mind, I always wanted some extraordinary feedback sound that membrane keyboards doesn't have the sound on them. It's not just the sound, the tactility feels right compare to the browns. Well, not forcing to choose blues. It depends on the individual. Try various switches from the shops. Eventhough there's no shop selling mechanical keyboards in your area, try them from your friends. Good luck
