Do i need 7.1 /5.1 surround?

Hey again guys!
So, i recently broke my headphones, and need new ones. I have a blue yeti mic so i dont need a Microphone on it.
I mainly play games like Rainbow six siege, CS:GO, battlefield 1 etc.
These are the headsets i have been recomended:
Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80 and Hyper X Cloud II
So... you might wonder why this title...
The beyerdynamic seems like a super amazing headset... for music. It only has stereo sound, and no surround. Is this recomended for the games i play? I dont really know a lot about headsets, so any advice would be amazing. Also, i gladly take any other suggestions, as long as it is within 200$

I wouldn't recommend surround headsets imho it sounds "muffled" i guess i could say, i am using the sennhieser hd 598s and they are working great for me  i would recommend you get the dt770 pro

headphones are never actually surround sound it is often just software drivers that can be used with other headsets also like Razer surround.

and also open back headphones sound better they give you that immersive feel but they do leak some sound at high volumes and don't provide much isolation from background noises

While I love my Cloud 2's I'd really prefer to have really good headphones again. I'd even pick my old M50s over these for gaming. I'd love a set of Beyerdynamics if I had the options

If you pair Razer Kraken 7.1 Surround Sound headset with Razer Virtual 7.1 Surround Sound program, they sound fantastic. Idk about the other Razer headphones, but I use Razer Kraken Pro Analog V2 Headset and pair it with the Virtual 7.1 Surround Sound program.
