Somehow it got muted. I opened volume mixer and put it up, now it works

So... a few days ago, my audio in chrome stopped working. i followed the procedure that google recommends to do, and then after that failed to change anything, installed chrome canary. That worked for a day, but now doesn't. Now the only browser that plays audio is.. you guessed it, edge. Can anybody help me figure this out?

Tried all of the above many times. The tinfoil hat part of me wants to say that MS is blocking it to get people to use edge, but that's just that part.
