You can't really overclock on that mobo; it's probably just turbo boost at work.

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Yeah :) "z" series chipset along with a "k" series cpu (which you already have) is necessary for for overclocking.

You might want to check out Gamers Nexus 7700K review. He had some issues with big differences in temps between different motherboards with the the same chipset. I think he also had some trouble OCing up to 5GHz? I'd have to rewatch to confirm that - I'll let you do that :)

I would make sure they understand how unhappy you are with their bad part choice. Selling a K cpu with a non-Z board is not correct at all they shud have put a7700 non-k , they tried to make money off you.

That's up to you.  That 600 MHz difference could actually be a 900 MHz difference depending on if the chip you have clocks high.  Each chip is different, but 5.3 GHz and greater is definitely possible depending on your willingness to upgrade cooling.

If you plan to continue using the cooler you have, then just keep your current motherboard.  A 7700k at 4.4 GHz is no slouch for sure.  :D

your computer will be strong and run fine still.. no worries.. overclocking is like... getting extra performance for free. but stock cpu is good also no worries. its not worth to buy a new motherboard just to oc.

A couple of things to clear up:

The i7-7700K comes stock at 4.2 GHz with up to 4.5 GHz boost clock depending on how the software you're running uses the available resources. You probably just caught a glimpse of it when it had boosted up to 4.4 GHz. An overclock to 5 GHz is not 600 MHz, it's actually 800 MHz and should be available on all cores, probably with boost functionality turned off completely.

No one can promise that your 7700K can actually reach 5 GHz even with the proper hardware and cooling. Every chip is different, and it's likely not every 7700K will tolerate 5 GHz with a safe voltage. The best overclocks I have heard of for 7700K's have been 5.0–5.1 GHz, meaning there are probably a lot of them that top out at 4.8 GHz or so.

My opinion is that no one ever "needs" to overclock. It's a thing that's fun for some of us to do who are really into this stuff. Your 7700K is already one of the fastest CPUs available… an overclock would improve it somewhat further but it's already going to perform very well in practically anything.

Just one thing to clear up:  :D

The best 7700k clockers are hitting 5.2 to 5.3 with a very exceptional few capable of just a bit more.

Silicon Lottery sells 5.2 chips, but they are $679.99 a pop.  OUCH!!

Anyways, here's my 5.1 to 5.2 chip after delidding.  This was run at 5.3 GHz CPU, 5 GHz cache, 3200 XMP with no AVX offset.  There's plenty of thermal headroom left, but no sense in pushing it.

Thank you guys very much..

I have one more question.. im using 2133mhz corsair value ram which has no xmp support.. should i get a 2400 mhz ram with xmp support (mobo supports to 2400 max) and i have m.2 960 evo ssd by the way is there something wrong with this setup xD

Here is the picture of 4,4 ghz thingy

I wouldn't personally spend any additional money to replace 2133 RAM with 2400 RAM.  Also, you need to verify that you are hitting your peak 4.5 GHz during single-threaded tasks.
