Ubuntu Rufus VS UUI

Hello again, I've sorta solved this issue:

 

 

And in the process, created another. Figured that this is a different issue and needed a new thread.

 

So what is wrong? Well, the environments created by the two programs from the same iso are different.

 

The one on the left is UUI, the one on the right is rufus.

 

As you can see, both are prompting me to either try or install ubuntu. However, the UUI one on the left got to the screen instantly, and hitting enter will boot it quickly to my test environment (which is simply a "try ubuntu" environment)

 

but the one on the right takes a while to get to the install/try screen, and another short while to get to the ubuntu test environment.

 

Is there a way I can make a ubuntu "test" disk that automatically boots to the try ubuntu mode without any input from the user?

 

The flash drives created with UUI doesn't boot on everything, and the rufus one needs more user input and time to get to the same place.

 

Any ideas? I'm not using a persistance file because it breaks stuff after a while, though if I could configure defaults on things such as showing battery percentage and a shortcut to keyboardtester.com, that would be super handy

It is possible that one system is booting into a UEFI mode resulting in that screen on the left. Do you get the same result if you switch USB keys in the different computers? Also I personally recommend Rufus for making USB drives under Windows since it has never failed me. (If your on Linux learn dd!) If you want easy persistence you can install it to a USB from another USB installer. I have done this in the past and it works well enough for USB speed anyhow.
