Linux Mint Trouble

I dual booted my pc with windows 10 runing on a 250 gb hdd and installed linux mint cinnamon 18.1 on my 120 ssd, and when i restarted linux mint it showed ubuntu loading screen (Know linux mint is based on ubuntu) and it got to the log in screen and i typed in my password and i tried to log in but it showed me the same screen. My dual boot was working, so was it my ssd which got corrupted? Or is it something else?

Wiped my ssd yesterday...

Is there some software to test for corrupted bites?

100% good, but what could have corrupted my linux mint os?

I don't know. Bad ram, did you change anything, bad update, weird hardware incompatibaty, gpu drivers.

It was running fine for days and i am using the same pc right now and it has no hardware changes

Probably some weird software issue. Restore the backups or reinstall.
