Laptop not charging

Well, it is a 4-cell battery and it only lasts around 30 minutes on battery alone. I think it is around 4-5 years old, I'm not sure.

You could be having an issue with that. My old, recently-retired daily driver laptop did this sometimes. It was a Toshiba Satellite Pro C650. I'd recommend getting a new battery for the laptop.

Recently, my laptop hasn't been charging while in use. If I put it to sleep or shut it down, it charges to 100%. But, it can't charge while it's on. Is this because my battery is worn out, or does someone have another idea?

UPDATE: It randomly started charging again. Don't know what caused that.
