freenas requirements

i have some old dell pc laying around which i want to turn into a nas but it only has 4gb of ram, so i can't use freenas. what should i use?

use the debian net install and do not install a desktop

You can use free nas on 4gb it may be slow but it will run just fine. I have ran freenas with 2gb of ram and a pentium 4 Just fine.
