Hey guys i was wondering if cables from astro a40 mixamp from 2010 works on the astro a40 mixamp from 2013

USB is the same, however optical has changed.

Here you can see the 2013 edition, under "OPT" you can see the round circle for optical.

 

BUT on the 2010 you find this:
Which is rather the normal input for optical. I do however think that you should consider asking ASTRO support further about this.

also does optical cable from 2013 version work on xbox one ?

Should be no problem, I'm personally using it.

 

Optical cable in X1 and the other end in the mixamp, no problem.

Yes:

Optical cable in the back of the mixamp to the xbox, then plug things to the controllers accordingly.

The 2013 uses a mini-toslink connector, while the 2010 uses a full size toslink. I you get a full size to mini toslink adapter you can use the old cable. The back of the xbone is also full size toslink iirc.
