Computer Constantly Freezing (CPU Issue?)

For the past month my PC has been freezing while playing CPU intensive games like Overwatch. I don't know what has been happening, but it just freezes. Usually the video freezes first, then the audio cuts out. I think it's a CPU issue as I only have two actual cores (i3 6100) so maybe all of the cores are being used up?
Pls help.

Mobo: MSI Z170A Pro
CPU: i3 6100
GPU: RX 480 (MSI)
RAM: 1 8GB stick of Corsair Vengeance
HD: 1 TB WD
Monitor: Samsung LS24B300EL/ZA

Sorry, it's 500B

 

The RAM was in the wrong slot. It was in Dimm4 instead of Dimm2. Will probably post in a day with a result.

The slot was not the problem. Was playing a different same (Skyrim Remastered) and it froze after I attempted a quicksave.

*BUMP* This is still going on. Still no solutions. Any ideas?
