I have recently moved country from the UK to Germany and now that I am settled in I have decided that I want to make a PC to replace my ageing laptop which is slowly dying. Now as I have not built a system for a really long time, I mean we are talking when IDE cables and CD-ROM drives were state of the art, I figured that I should get some feedback before I actually buy the parts. This build will be done in stages with the first being just the basics with a budget of €800 - €1,000. As long as it doesn't cost too much I want to make sure it all looks good and matches with a red and black theme while also allowing freedom in upgrading in the future..

made some revisions, got a better looking mobo, i would add in any cpu cooler of your choice, the thermaltake one you chose performs worse than a stock cooler, just a simple cooler master 212 will do, the powersupply is actually tier one @STRMfrmXMN (please confirm, on ur list it said bitfenix whisper but i put in the whisper m)

you can ditch all of those coolers :P the stock intel fan is fine unless you want silence.

Yeah as far as I can tell the CPU from the vendor doesn't come with the stock fan, can't find it anywhere in the listing.

I was wondering if I should go for a Z270 but couldn't find one I liked, that one looks good. Yeah I was aware that the thermaltake wasn't a good one but was interested in the tech.

honestly, i would just put a i5 6400 in there until you can upgrade to z270 unless you have a big budget for that also
