PS4 in a PC

So i was thinking...what will happen if I download the PS4 software in any hd that I have and just boot it in my pc?Would it work?

Not a chance.

No it will not work, PS4 software meant to work with PS4 only. Well you can still see it maybe but you can't do anything with it (running it, playing it) unless use some sort of emulator but I doubt it will work

Pretty much not a chance (for most mortals, e.g. have you considered cutting PCI Express traces on a motherboard and sniffing traffic between devices using an FPGA, just so you could debug stuff).

 

Marcan (former colleague of mine) had a great talk on CCC on running Linux on a ps4 and what it took to get there. I'm sure he had lots of fun doing it, but he's a bit of a beast when it comes to reverse engineering stuff and getting random tech to work.

 

He basically fixed some bugs Sony and AMD screwed up along the way, ported a driver, and managed to run portal on steam on Linux on ps4 in end as a demo.

 

Talk is probably useless from a practical perspective, but very interesting and insightful and he's a really good speaker at least as far as the slightly autistic tech obsessive tech crowd goes.
