You will need to upgrade to Windows 10 to get DX12 support. 

 

Bear in mind the majority of games are not using DX12 and it's still in early development.

hello, I believe that my PC is running dx11 but my rx470 supports dx12. Is it recommended that I update?

Are you on Windows 10?

 

only Windows 10 support DX12

 

 

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
