okay so im thinking about OC my msi gaming x 1080 and i am not sure what programs i should use.. for the OC i was thinking about Afterburner but i guess i need some sort of program to test the card and see if the clock is stable right? what program should i use for testing it?

alright, do you know what the max temp is for my gpu? im guessing that i should keep it lower than 80*c?

alright, when im overclocking. should i go +10 Mhz on the core clock all the time till it stops or how should i do?

94c is the limit of the 1080 cards. temps in the 80c-85c is perfectly acceptable.

 

+125 on the core and +500 on mem with 115% Power target.  is a decent place to start.

i7-6700k@4.9ghz + 980ti @ 1501mhz + 16gbs Ram + 1 TB SSD = Backup

i7-3770k@4.8ghz + 680 4gb + 32gbs Ram + 500gb SSD = Retired/Office work
