Funny that you mention x99 and a CL SM8. I have a 5960x build that I just moved to a CL SM8. It was in a CL S8 with a pedestal, but my z270 build is in there now. The SM8 is a great case as are any CL cases.

What do you think about doing a build with Formula in the SM8 its only ATX and you know the tray is bigger do you think it would look bad?

I don't think it'll look bad at all. My Asus x99 Deluxe/U3.1 is only ATX and it fills the motherboard tray nicely.
