PC reads SSD every other time

Hello everyone!


My SSD is a PNY 240GB 2.5" SSD (not sure the exact model). If I shut down my PC, to turn it back on I have to turn it on, after the BIOS says I need to insert a boot drive I turn my PC off, and then I can turn it on and it runs just like it's supposed to. Even more interesting my PC can restart without fail.

 

I have switched the SATA port it goes into on the motherboard, and tried multiple slots on my PSU.

 

Any suggestions?

maybe switch the ssd to the first boot device in boot device order? that might help

I can only switch them when it is being read. I have done this and when I go to my boot order on my not working boot it don't detect the drive.

i dont know then sorry... i havent heard any problem like this be4. goodluck with solving it. computer problems are a pain in the ass
