What is an Internal DAC?

i just want to know out of curiosity, is a 400mhz internal DAC good? how can it affect performances?

 

my RX480 have a 400mhz internal DAC apparently

It's a specification that might have been relevant around 1990. Today it doesn't matter at all.

It might be referring to the RAMDAC, which is for VGA performance.

A DAC is actually a Digital to Analog Converter. Basically it converts what is in your Cards Memory into a analog signal that your monitor can read.

Don't worry about it.
