Soundbar for tv?

i am going to buy a soundbar for the very first time. I never bought one. What do I need to know when buying one?

Want one which sounds good...like everyone else lol

I have no idea about which hardware specifications i should look up to

Any help?

A main important point to consider is your budget.

My neighbor has a Boston Acoustics Tvee 30 which sounds absolutely amazing for a speaker system in general, never mind a slim sound bar. However, it definitely would be considered pretty expensive by the masses.

I see LG soundbars for around 100$ but idk how to compare this to one which costs 2000$.

Because I have no knowledge what to check for.

First you have to think of what your budget is. Then you have to think of the size of your tv. Lastly look at the size of the room you are putting it into. You don't want to get a soundbar that's too big for your tv nor do you want a setup that's going to be too much for the room you are putting it in. If it's a small room then you should be fine with just a cheap $100 soundbar. However if it's a big room then you might want to invest in a 5.1 soundbar. In my living room I have a 40" 5.1 Samsung sound bar and it sounds great. I also have a vizio 5.1 soundbar in my room which works out great. However in a smaller room I use a standard soundbar with subwoofer and the sound fills the room pretty well. If you need help deciding on a soundbar then the best thing to do is to let us know what kind of budget you have as well as your tv size.
