Hey guys so Im planning a build to do in the next couple of weeks.

Heres what Im going for upto this point

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/zqLyQV

Ive planned a dual monitor setup (Ive already got 1 Asus monitor from the parts list) and I have an external HDD drive mounted behind my desk, so using the ssd for OS and AutoCAD (ideally)

Budget isnt really set in stone but if I say £2500 maxed, the system will be used for gaming (Bf1, TW3, ect) and CAD work.

Any recommendations, tips ect would be welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Get a 780T instead. Also, why an external HDD? In a full tower, why use external when you could just pop an internal in?

are you gonna use both monitors for gaming at the same time? if so i dont think a single 1080 will be able to handle that

Both monitors wont be used for gaming, no.

Dual setup is work related more than gaming.

And I agree on the case tbh. I found the NXZT H440 or the coolermaster Mastercase which both look decent.

The mastercase maker 5 is an very great case. Allthough it is not made for silence it is very well performing on both temps and soundlvls. Would look into that aswell if you like it. You can save some money by taking the Scythe Fuma as cooler over the Dark rock if available. Better performance, more silent and cheaper allthough the Dark rock is very good aswell.

Other then that seems like a fine sensable build. :)  The 1080 will be overall fine enough for the screen even if it doesn't max out the fps, and otherwise he can slightly adjust videosettings. For OP: if silence is prefered you might consider the MSI gaming variants instead over the Strix. Is a relative loud cooler.
