I am buying new RAM and was looking at this: http://www.corsair.com/en/vengeance-pro-series-8gb-2-x-4gb-ddr3-dram-2133mhz-c9-memory-kit-cmy8gx3m2b2133c9 . But I have an i5-4690k and in Intels site  https://ark.intel.com/products/80811/Intel-Core-i5-4690K-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_90-GHz  it says it only supports up to 1600mhz. I have the Asus Z97 pro gamer motherboard wich shouldnt be a problem since it supports up to 3200Mhz (OC).  I googled around a bit and found an old LTT thread where people said it will work. I'm not an expert in memory overclocking so my question is rather if I stick it in, what frequency will it run automatically and how do I get it to 2133 (using XMP?) ?

Thanks in advance.

it will automatically set it to 1600mhz and you can change it by using XMP. it could be that your system won't start windows or that it crashes, then you should set it back to the default speed. if this doesn't happen within the first moments, max 15 min, than you are good to go
