need help

I've been using a PC built by myself for almost a year now and two days ago it was running fine up till yesterday where it started heating up past 100 degrees Fahrenheit idle, its completely air cooled and don't know what's going on, is this normal?

Do you mean 100 degree Celsius ? 

 

what CPU and cooler are you using?

The system would probably shut down if that was the case. 

100f or ~40c is perfectly fine.

Idle temps don't really matter much though and you should focus on load instead.

a amd FX 8350 with a cooler master heat sink

under load its hitting 150 on my gtx 1070 and 140f on my cpu

Those temps are perfectly fine. 

You're fine up to 80-90c at load on either. That's ~180f.

That being said, you should probably start using Celsius instead of Fahrenheit when it comes to pc components.

yea I can see that everyone else uses Celsius, and why does it seem so bad but its ok for temps to be that high?

Your temps are normal.
