Hdd problems

So I have this power Mac G5 lying around with 2 300gb sata hdds, I want to make them work on Windows but when I connect them and look at disk management I can't format them. How can I resolve this issue because I really need some extra storage.

Delete any partitions and make a new one(s).

is it visible in disk management? normally disks formatted for MAC won't be detected in windows. but if you can see it in disk management, try this.

 

run CMD as administrator

type diskpart

type list disk

then identify your MAC disks and type "select disk x" 

type clean.

 

then head over to disk management and format the disk from there.
