GPU USAGE SPIKES

Hi guys,I have a problem...My gpu USAGE while playing games is whoping between 100%-0%. I have the newest drivers...pls help

FX 8300

M5A97 R.20

R9 380 2gb

8GB RAM HyperX Fury 1600mhz

PSU: 750W

Win 7 64 bit

SSD 240gb

Why should it stay at 99%? Which games are you playng and at which settings? FPS?

GPU usage should stay at 99%,not CPU

It's most likely a CPU bottleneck. There's a YouTube Channel called "santiago santiago", when he tested AMD cards with a weak CPU he noticed GPU reporting 0-100% spikes. While powerful CPUs did not have this issue being at constant 99-100% usage. (i3 Vs i7)

 

The conclusion was that it may be a CPU bottleneck messing around with the AMD driver since on Nvidia he didn't experience the same wide margin spike with weak CPUs. He said he tested many software solutions and they all reported 0 to 100% usage with AMD cards on CPU bottleneck scenarios. 

 

It could be as he says a cpu bottleneck, or a sensor problem. who knows, his videos are worth checking out in this regard.
