Android TV Box Recommendations

It's my dad's birthday soon and I'm going to get him an Android TV Box for his birthday, but there are so many to choose from. So I'm looking for recommendations of which to buy. I don't need it to be 4k or for gaming, just good enough for basic apps, like weather forecast, and video streaming, like Netflix.

Also my budget is under $150 Canadain.

Roku/FireTV are probably your best options. I'm not sure what their price is in Canadian dollars, but they are both under $100 in USD, so I think they'll work.
