What AP's Id use something like a unify ap ac so there clustered and support vlans and other features

Can't I set up the vlans on the switch and router?

Haven't found a switch

The router would be a modem router for time warner

Id suggest something like a unify ap ac lite. There much better than the consumer wireless stuff.

Get your own. It will be cheaper and better.

The one I bought for my own is a xinfinity and timawarnr approved one

So the ap would still be nessasary, ? This is for creating vlans to separate users and devices

If you have a router from your isp you can normally setup a guest network, so need for vlans.
