After someone mentioned one in a thread it got me curious about them. I looked them up and what it seems to me is a tiny low powered box that only seeds and downloads torrents. What I don't get is why is it so much faster and why do they claim it protects you from DMCA and ISP throttling on torrents? I know it is not on your network but waaa?

Basically the way I understand it, the seedbox downloads and uploads your torrents from a datacenter so your IP address isn't associated with the download. You then transfer the files to your actual PC via an FTP server that shows up differently than torrent traffic to your ISP.
