Hi,

I have decided to build a new PC. Right now I amd rocking a Q8200, 4GB RAM and an OEM motherboard. I use a GT 730 (2GB GDDR5).

So I am collecting money and I think I would be able to build the PC I want in two years. Until then should I upgrade my GPU?? Maybe an RX460 for cheap??

I want to play games like GTA, Fallout 4 and Unturned.

Thanks in advance...

A GTX 1050Ti 4GB would be perfect for a system like this.

For GTA V you NEED 8 Gb of RAM otherwise the game is UNPLAYABLE

I have 4 gb right now and after buying GTA 5 I decided to build a new pc because I have a OEM MOBO that can only handle 4 gb of ram

CPU - i5-8400 , Motherboard - ASROCK Z370 Killer SLI, RAM - 2x8 GB DDR4 2400mhz , GPU - EVGA GTX 950 SC, Case - SilentiumPC PAX M70 Pure Black V2 Storage - 240GB SanDisk SSD, 1TB WD Blue, PSU - bequite! 600w Pure Power 10, Display - Dell P2417H, Cooling - bequiet! the cpu would bottleneck

save up for a pentium g4560 and gtx 1050

slowly upgrade from that

also, 8 gb ram wouldnt hurt

The 1050TI would already be nice upgrade. GTA V is a demanding game for the CPU but it will play good enough anyway.

If you can wait save up for complete new fresh system. On the other hand a good GPU now, you can transfer easily and enjoy a already improved video settings. But then you must know what you aim for in the next build.

If u dont mind playing at less than 30fps then its doable. Otherwise yoyr CPU is uncapable of running GTA V smoothly.

I couldnt run CSGO on my Q8300+GTX 760 :/ (2.66Ghz, pci-e 2.0), setting everything on low made game look like ass and even then FPS was poop (30ish...)

Not sure if my mobo was proper crap or something else was wrong but when I put the same PSU and GPU into my new pc (i7) all games run smoothly at 60+ fps.

Thats my experience with low end CPU and CPU demanding games.

Tldr; your CPU doesnt have performance to run AAA titles.

For your future build: u can get away with kabylake i3-7350K just about fine atm and for couple of year thanks to hyperthreading and high clock speeds. Atm the price is pretty high but hopefully it drops later on.

Otherwise i5 is still tge best choice for gaming. Try to get work over summer (fruit pickers can earn very decent money during the season ! This is popular in Europe, hard to find though :( ).

Connection200mbps / 12mbps 5Ghz wifi

My baby: CPU - i7-4790, MB - Z97-A, RAM - Corsair Veng. LP 16gb, GPU - MSI GTX 1060, PSU - CXM 600, Storage - Evo 840 120gb, MX100 256gb, WD Blue 1TB, Cooler - Hyper Evo 212, Case - Corsair Carbide 200R, Monitor - Benq  XL2430T 144Hz, Mouse - FinalMouse, Keyboard -K70 RGB, OS - Win 10, Audio - DT990 Pro, Phone - iPhone SE
