It needs to be a GTX 900 or 1000 or RX400 series.

what graphics card do you have?

4k tv isn't gonna fly with that graphics card.

Your other option would be getting a displayport to hdmi 2.0 converter. I tried the club3d one, it worked, but I ran into a HDCP issue with it.
