That's a direct relation of how much writing/rewriting has been done. This can go quite high in the endurance tests I've seen on Samsung SSDs. Your total writes are no where near the amounts that Samsung SSDs have been tested to endure.

2. looking at getting a 2TB drive to replace the 500gb drive and remove the 500gb drive leaving space for another 2tb drive

That sounds like a good idea to me!

3.whats the maximum Xtb drive windows will natively see without having to fiddle with anything

For drives larger than 2TB, you'll just need to format them in windows and have them use the GPT partitioning scheme: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2581408

right so my storage config is as follows

C: Samsung 850 evo 250gb(2.5") - boot drive with a couple games

power on count : 678

Power on hours: 1088hrs

Total host writes 1918GB

wear leveling count: 6

B: 500GB Seagate Barracuda(3.5")- ST3400418AS - downloadS, NON critical files stored on here

power on count : 10922

Power on hours: 8587hrs

Reallocated sectors count: 3

A: 1TB seagate hybrid drive 5400rpm (2.5")- ST1000LM014-1EJ164-SSHD -  eveyrthing else is stored on here games etc

power on count : 1609

Power on hours: 6320hrs

nothing that catches the eye

questions:

1.with my boot drive the wear level count is 6 what does this mean exactly?

2. looking at getting a 2TB drive to replace the 500gb drive and remove the 500gb drive leaving space for another 2tb drive

3.whats the maximum Xtb drive windows will natively see without having to fiddle with anything-ANSWERED

Im pretty sure windows can take up to 20 or more drives the question is whether you motherboard supports it. You would need a sata slot for each drive to save headaches.

i read somewhere that with 2TB+ it doesnt see it as more than 2tb?

I think that means it CAN as in might support more storage, but after the operating system formats the drive/configures it to the correct settings it will most likely have about 2tb or 1.9tb

i know that 1tb doesnt = 1tb to the computer etc

As I said it can, but if your installing windows on this drive or using windows on your pc it will need a spamm reserved space for that config.

I think you misunderstand , i saw on the forum a while back with someone having a 4TB drive but in only showed up as 2tb

Thats because the motherboard or operating system only supported a certain size drive. Thats that.

That's a direct relation of how much writing/rewriting has been done. This can go quite high in the endurance tests I've seen on Samsung SSDs. Your total writes are no where near the amounts that Samsung SSDs have been tested to endure.

For drives larger than 2TB, you'll just need to format them in windows and have them use the GPT partitioning scheme: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2581408

can you recommend a good, fast, but reliable 2TB drive?

Sure thing. The Seagate BarraCuda is a pretty good choice. I've seen them for about $70USD on amazon. If you want a bit more performance, the Seagate FireCuda is about $100USD and has a pretty handy solid state cache built in. (I just got a 2TB FireCuda to use as an external drive for my xbox one s.)
