Question about RAM

Go to solution Solved by Altecice,

Ohhh,ok. I see xD. Uhm will the RAM break if I take it out and put it on another PC and take it out again and put it back on the original PC?

I used to work in a "place" where we could throw RAM to the other side of the room and pick it up and it would still work. the only way you will break RAM is by snapping the PCB.. Hardware is tough stuff

Hey guys! So I was wondering. What is the difference between the Corsair Vengeance,Vengeance Pro and Dominator Platinum? Do they run faster than the lower series? Like Dominator Platinum > Vengeance Pro > Vengeance?

PS: Will the RAM break if I take it out and put it on another PC and take it out again and put it back on the original PC?

Yep, and some people like the looks of one vs another in their build, so making more options "albeit similar" will sell more products too.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Corsair Platinum's are the highest binned chips (aka they performed the best in testing) but really that's all that's to it... the platinum's may overclock more than the pro's but for an end user there is zero difference.

This seems like the best answer for this question.

Nothing to see here, move along

I used to work in a "place" where we could throw RAM to the other side of the room and pick it up and it would still work. the only way you will break RAM is by snapping the PCB.. Hardware is tough stuff
