So here this coming March I've planned to build my first desktop. I do not plan to budget on anything and I will shell out every little bit of
cash that I have available for this build, which is approximate $2500+

The desktop will be used for mainly gaming. Gaming wise I want it to run the newest AAA games at maxed settings. It will also need to be able to hook up to a Cintiq 27 QHD and have it be at it's maxed settings. I will list the build I've put together below for you guys' to give your opinion on e.g. Is there anything you would change, something I haven't taken into account, etc. I'd also love to see you guys' take on a build for that price if you have the spare time to put one together.

Also, fair warning since this is my first desktop build there might be a few things I'm not aware of, so please take it easy on me! :)

If there is anything I've forgotten feel free to remind me! Also if there is anything I should be looking for that is coming out soon that would make it worth it to wait for a little with buying the build, feel free to note it!

Thanks in advance!

Try going with kabylake and getting a z270 board. If you live in the us, it should be almost the same price. Also, maybe try a Deepcool Captian 240EX for your cooler.

You can get cheaper AIB 1080's that'll have better cooling than the founders editions.
Those hard drives seem expensive, take a look at Western Digital, their caviar blues are about $50/Tb
Power supply could be better quality, something like a 650 watt G2, more than enough power, and cheaper than the one you've chosen.

What I suggest is to wait till march and then ask this question again. Prices change, new items are coming out before march. For example AMD  cpus are coming and that will lower the price of intel's offerings or even provide a better alternative.

What'd I do with this build is to not get enterprise HDDs and just get WD cavier blues. They work fine just as is and it's not like your storing medical records.

I wouldn't ever get a founders card. They are worse than custom coolers and cost more.

Your cpu cooler wouldn't give your i7 a beefy overclock, I'd suggest going with a water cooler

get a Beyerdynamic DT770 instead of the Sennheiser.  you could always buy a windows key from G2A for much cheaper.

The Hyper 212 EVO cpu cooler and Trident Z memory modules are not an optimal pairing. Given the case and rest of the build, an AIO would be a much better choice.

A number of GTX 1080 models offer same or better performance as the FE at a lower cost. They also tend to be much quieter.

Not sure why multiple hard drives are in the build. If it is to provide for separation, I would suggest a single drive with logical partitions. Much more cost effective.

Windows 10 OEM license is not for DIY builds. Technically it will work, but it is a license violation.

The psu is not an optimal choice. It is also a bit larger (capacity) than needed.

Go with a current generation cpu and motherboard.
