So this all start one late night extreme 10 hours of none stop overwatch gaming when my PC just quit and turn off. I don't think it was a power surge as everything was working except for my PC. I check the green LED light on my motherboard and it was on as well. I though it was my cpu heatsink but it wouldn't have stop the computer from turning on for at least one second. So I played the waiting game and 30 minutes later she was working again, but for some reason my wireless adapter couldn't pick up anything even my home network was at zero bars and 20 inches away from it. Now does anyone know how to fix this?

Solution tried

Reset Ipv4 and Ipv6 catalog

Reset wireless network

Reset computer

Run intel repair tool (Like I really though you would work :P)

If you are 20 inch away from it why not use cat5e/cat6 cable?

I had to move my PC :(

If you have moved it? The cheapest option to fix this problem is to use Ethernet cable instead of wifi, does your phone pick up the wifi signal? If the phone also doesn't pick up the wifi signal this mean is the access point problem if your phone work fine and just your desktop it will be your wifi card on your PC. If you have moved it how far is it away from your networking? such as router or switch.

If it one bar, what is your access point? Is like default from your ISP? Also how big is your house?

Just now, RitusDagger said:

the ISP is AT&T and I have no router or extender.

It most likely your router which is your access point as usually those are really poor quality. The cheapest option is run Ethernet cable from that router to your room, if your parent/wife allow you run cable along the bottom or through roof/attic would be preferable as a decent 10 metres Ethernet cable is  cheaper (10-20 USD) than getting new access point or wifi extender.

OK man look I put money into the adapter and I had 60Mbps on full bars, There is no way I would have poor connection and there no way my gaming PC is staying in my living room. I know the cheap way out is a ground connection, but I would love to just have my adapter working again. Also I asked for a solution to fix the adapter not remove it.

Well you could try getting better access point ...such ubiquiti AC lite. You can fix something that can't be fix unless you have stronger access point which output stronger signals. I never really use ISP given gear as they are under powered for what you are paying for, you might able to find something like this ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/6DBi-Omni-directional-External-Dual-Antenna-Indoor-Receive-WiFi-Wireless-802-11N-/331962680322) something like this which in most cases will improve your one bar signal.

After switching from consumer gear for my router/access point is massive difference, no more dead spots and the connection on devices simulations is not crashing the network.

For those of you who are wondering pass this post I solve the problem. If you don't know this intel wireless adapter have a mini PCIe to PCIe chip format one of the black wire was remove by accident back when I was giving CPR to my PC. Everything work fine now thank you.
