windows to linux switch fixes gpu problem?

iso my desktop tower PC was not working with windows 10 it was haveing graphics problems and now that I am running Linux mint it runs perfectly.... any ideas on why to me this sounds like software problem that showed up on one GPU then I switched to a different one it worked then it had the same problem  but now I switched to Linux it works perfectly any ideas why?

There may be a few reasons:

  • The Desktop Environment you're using does not utilize a feature which was causing graphical issues on Windows
  • The graphics driver used in Linux Mint's distribution may be more compatible than the one used on Windows
  • Your graphics driver was not up to date on Windows

Which graphics card do you have?
