i been having issues with my rig its a AMD FX9590 Asus Crosshair V formula Z and 16gb Gskill trident with a 980ti i could be doing anything from gaming browsing or having it sitting idle doing nothing other than running windows with only drivers and windows background tasks running and it will just randomly freeze up it could do it once a week once a day or 20 times a day iv ruled out the video card and PSU as issues as i currently use both in a different pc due to the freeze issue being very random iv reinstall OS bout 40 times reset everything numerous times and no matter what i try the issue does not go away i could really use some help figuring out the issue as i can only think could possibly be a issue with either the ram mobo or cpu and as it stands i have no way to test the hard ware as i have no other AM3+ cpus or motherboards to test and no motherboards that are compatible with the ram just looking for any ideas or recommendations to try and get it working

Random hangs like this in my experience are generally caused by HDD failure or bad ram. I would check each stick individually and run a hard drive diagnostic tool. There are plenty of free ones out there and I just did one yesterday using an Ultimate boot cd. worked pretty well through a linux distro called Part Magic

Then run memtest, or pull sticks individually one by one until the issue stops.

been playing around with Aida64 and last time i used it there was no option to display NB temp but my NB seems to be getting extreamly im currently stressing it its slowly climbing in temp and i have box fan blowing down on the NB and its still getting hotter and hotter pc is currently set up out of case and with how long its been since started seems to be about the time takes for it to freeze up when doing a gaming session and if im not mistaken NB thermal limmit is 80c correct? if its currently at 73 and only been running for about 40 mins all other temps are as followed MB 39c SB 45c cpu 62c other than gpu (not on custom fan curve) peeking at 70c might be issue with NB overheating and with a BOX fan blowing onto it thats ALOT of air flow going over the board but it has yet to freeze up on me since started but if NB keeps getting hotter not sure what can do other than have a box fan on high blowing down on it and if i were to turn it off NB would prob sky rocket in temp going to test that now by turning it down and seeing if temps go up

turned fan off and NB SB went up dramaticly in temp in 1 minute NB shot up to 80c in about 30 seconds and still climbing SB shot up to 51c and still climbing CPU went up a small amount to 67c but thats running full tilt under and is cooled with a AIO issue is chipset temp related as NB now just hit 84c wail typing this and SB is now at 52 and both are still getting hotter not sure what can do when it takes a box fan used to circulate air in a room to keep them from getting to extream temps like this any ideas would be a god send to fix these temp issues
