another laptop thread - issues w/ laptop?

tl;dr

 

bought laptop sunday, heavily unimpresied with the performance

 

Lags in H1Z1 maxed (25-45 FPS)

Lags in Terraria (microstuttering)

Lags in Raw data, at the lowest graphics settings in the lowest reoslution

 

Looked up some specs online, my speca are 6700HQ and a 1060 (MSI GE6VR laptop)

 

People running the same benchmark as me, Firestrike, scored 10k-12k with the same specs. I just ran Firestrike and scored 8710....

No thermal throttling, temps on the GPU stay at like 60 degrees while i'm in H1. 

Set the GPU as default in Nvidia control pannel so it should be the primary card.

 

 

Ideas?

Are you sure the laptop isn't running on the integrated graphics? Also, is it the 3GB or 6GB 1060?

It's the 6GB, and it shouldn't be, I went into the 3D settings on Nvidia and changed the default to the 1060 - there's no option to do so in the BIOS.
