sorrry if you thought this was a tutorial but i want work with some people and figure this out, i have a samsung display, and is it possible to make a wireless display so far i have a few ideas, like an lcd controller connected to an old android system and connected to the pc with a screen share system? anyone else have any ideas on how to achieve this

You could try using a wireless HDMI dongle with a transmitter. Though I'm not too sure what the ping is like for it.

You would need some serious bandwith for any decent resolution

You buy it... :D As long as you have compatible devices then your fine.

No I mean that's not the point of this, I mean like an independent item, not a laptop with WiDi a laptop screen and maybe an android interface or something like do you see where I am coming at it from?

Not really; are you saying you want to be able to pick up this display and move it around with an android interface on it? If so you're either gonna have to run a VM on another machine and push that to the display with Wi-Di or buy something like a Raspberry Pi to wire into the display and stay taped to the back or something.

Either way it's pointless because you'll still have no way to interface with the display/device, so you'll have created a useless abomination lol

For 1080p at 60Hz 24-bit color (standard) you need around 4-5Gbps of throughput minimum, which doesn't really exist in wireless yet as far as consumers are concerned.

well it gets closer and closer i think, recently scientists found a way to send over 100Gbps through a LED transmitter/decoder, the technology is actually simple so far it got explained, there are 3 LEDs 1 red 1 blue 1 green, by flashing rapidly in a kinda binairy code way they receiver could decode that and send data that way, the only downside is that when 1 LED falls away or the light spreads to much around the signal gets noisy or falls completely away, but still it is a great achievement, despite the technology behind the sending, decoding and stuff are very complicated, but it is a step into the right direction.
