Acer Predator XB271HU TN vs IPS

SwervinPersian

I'm building my first rig including a 1070 and an i7 6700K.

I wanted to match my performance to a great monitor, such as 1440p and 144Mhz. So I was immediatey attracted to the Acer Predator line, but failed to notice each model came with a TN & IPS version.

The TN version being €605, while the IPS is €789 (I am from Holland).

Also I have been shocked to hear that the IPS models comes with a so called 'lottery risk' where your specific model could have LED bleeding, which I had to research on.

I also have educated myself enough on the difference between the two, but I want to hear this from people who actually own the products.

So my question is, which one is the better pick?

& if neither of them, which would you recommend?

TN is probably better for the price. What other monitors can you pick from?

I've been looking at the dell s2417dg aswell, more simpler look, with g-sync/1440p/144hz.

It did get a 5/10 from DigitalTrends, mainly as it was too expensive for such mediocre performance.

Saw a bunch of Samsung's I liked, but most of them were freesync :/
