Ok cool thank you, im going to run ida64 for about 10 hours and see what max temps hit, but i should push for less than 85c right?

I mean 85C is totally fine for an i7, but not a temp I personally would want my cpu to pinned at for 24/7 operation.

You shouldn't see any adverse effects though from that temperature. It will underclock itself if it gets too hot.

When in doubt, re-format.

Well so far it hasn't gone over 70C on 100% usage so that's good, ill see how it runs in a couple hours

On Broadwell-E (BWE) and Haswell-E (HWE), you should watch package temps as they are always going to be higher than core temps.  Most monitoring software do not report package temp correctly and simply give you the value of the highest core temp.  AIDA64 reports package temps accurately and once you start using it, you'll find that it is generally a lot higher than core temps.  For most other i7 CPUs, core temps are fine.
