So I'm looking at buying a new laptop with a 1050/1050ti and I don't play much AAA games and this laptop would be used when I can't use my desktop (in bed at friends house on the go) and all I really want to play is my games at 1080p at 60fps med/high graphics and I'm stuck if I should get a 1050 or a 1050ti the one with the 1050ti is 100$ more and I'm pretty tight on money

If you can spare the $100 go for it.

If you can, go for a 1060.

The difference between the gtx 1050 and 1050ti is marginal in almost all tasks. The 1050 has a higher clock and is cheaper, so I would go for that.

My legit rig:

CPU: i5 6600k GPU: Asus Strix 1070 RAM: 16 GB of Corsair LPX CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X61 Motherboard:  Asus Z170I Pro Gaming Storage: Adata Sp550 120 GB and WD Black 3 TB Case: NZXT Manta Power Supply: EVGA 550 GS Monitors: 2 LG 25UM58-P Ultrawides Keyboard: Cooler Master Quickfire Rapid-i Mouse: Logitech G502 RGB

Depends on the games you want to play. Day to day tasks should see no real difference. Both the 1050 and 1050ti are not great performers and you should really look at getting a 470 if possible.

i5-6600k (4.6) | Dark Rock 3 | MSI GAMING X 1060 6GB | 8GB DDR4 | 120GB SSD & 1TB HDD | Crystal 460x

 | Acer GN246HL 1080p 24" 144hz & Acer G246HL 1080p 24" 60hz |

PSU Tier List | PC Partpickers: US Canada Australia UK
