I have a DG41WV motherboard . there are two ram slots in which one of it is damaged . can i put 1 DDR3 1600 bus 4gb ram in there or i have to buy a new motherboard .

which slot is the burnt slot?

 

if that slot was the DDR3 slot

 

you are going to buy a new mobo

 

 

and another note

 

G41 chipset only support DDR3 1333MHz

 

1600MHz is flinky and your system might not boot with the newer RAMs

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
