Another noob question

I was wondering as I'm building my first pc are standoffs the only things needed to screw the mobo into position or do you put them under and use other screws for the mobo ,can someone just explain the process

you screw the golden screws into your case, then lay the motherboard in, and use the other screws to screw the motherboard in into the screws on the case if that makes any sense

You screw the standoffs in to the case. Make sure you only use the ones that line up with the holes on your motherboard

Then place the motherboard on top of those standoffs. Again, make sure there aren't any extra standoffs than you need

Then you take the small screws and screw in the motherboard. Standoff, motherboard, screw.
