CPU runs hot

Go to solution Solved by Hecknologist,

Definitely increase the airflow in your case, if that isn't enough to get your temps down then you probably should get a new cpu cooler. Plenty of recommendations for coolers in the appropriate section of the forum.

Yo LTT'ers

My AMD A6 5400K runs at 60 degrees Celsius at IDLE  :o and reaches TJ MAX at load, i have tried even turning volts and clock down to stock and i still get the same, i have swapped out different thermal compounds the cooler master and the generic paste (they spell cooler like pooler?!) and still the same, the heatsink fans are drawing air from the graphics card pcb and exhausting into the psu, my only exhaust. My only intake is my fan at the front which runs on 5V and move like nearly zilch air.

QUESTIONS:

Should i buy some Arctic Cooling MX-4,

should i buy a new 120mm case fan Noctua s12 or p12

should i re arrange my case fans ( would adding an exhaust starve my top mounted psu of air?)

Thank you...

Try an AIO liquid cooler. Or something low profile such as the NH-C14 by Noctua.
