So i was thinking having a second PC to host my Space Engineers server and my media that i stream within the house rather then have it all run on my main system with its 800W PSU ect
Would it be better too get a second system, maybe something with a APU for cheap or second hand to run 24/7 so i can turn my main comp off when im at work or out ect.

Not really sure if it would save electricity and money, but it would free up resource usage on my current comp. Not that i need it freed up but it would none the less.

Edit
Also for the CPU would just a dual core be enough?

You don't need an APU, I would find a xeon or something like that for cheap. You don't need a DGPU for a server. What's your budget?

Oh hang on you have that basic microsoft display adaptor stuff right?
Dont actually need a D GPU or I GPU

Budget anything but cheaper the better, already have a HDD i could use from my current system as its got my movies and music on it.
So would just need a case, ram, psu, cpu and yeah
Maybe a SSD.
Wouldnt mind buying new just so i could build another computer again <3

Would a dual core be ok?
for light server running and in home movie streaming?

Edit
nvm that CPU cooler is to big for that case but you get the general idea of what im aiming for.
