Hi folks,

I am thinking about building my own case for a while now, I first wanted to build a Lian-Li PC-O8'ish case but I abandoned the idea for some reason I can't remember.

But just tempered glass isn't cool anymore anyways right? So I start planning a desk pc!

Heres where I'm at atm:

A gunmetal black and light gray desk with 3 drawers, one containing the pc

But I kind of am out of Ideas with bunch of thing bothering me, which I hope you can help me with:

1. Should I use a double bottom to hide all of the cables?

2. Should I lower the angled radiotor making it stick out of the floor for aesthetic purposes?

3. With the motherboard oriented the way it is, the gpu waterblock will be hardly visible, which obiously is a major probem. Do you have any ideas despite dropping a 100 bucks on a riser cable?

If I rotate the MB by 90° witht  the I/O facing the back I would have a great  view on the GPU Block but the rest of the drawer would look kind of empty...

4. I'm going hardline. And it is my first time doing so, how am I supposed to get the reservoir (imagine in right in front of the pump) filled/drained?

5. I want to use mayhems pastel white as coolant. Should I add other things to avoid stuff growing in there? Is there a better (white) coolant out there?

6. Is the pump (D5) going to be fine in that position?

7. I want to use the Dual Rad andSingle 140mm fan as intake and the 360mm as outake. Good idea?

8. What do you think of the overall design? Did I look so long at it, that I can't see how awfull my contraption reallly looks?

9. I am planning to put I/O on th right hand side, with the entire thing beeing openable with a hinge. Is I/O in the deskplate a good Idea or i dust in the connectors going to be an issue?

10. Are there superior monitor arm mounting solutions I can utilize when building a desk from scratch?

11. I am thinking about doing something with the glass. Maybe Smart Glass colour matching with the rest of the tabletop, or the stuff in win used in the tòu (even though the reaction to the light in the case looks real cool, the mirroring tabletop might be anoying). But I can hardly find any information on either of that topics?

12. Any other thing that comes to mind?

I propably forgot something I wanted to ask but I'm just going to leave this here and come back in the morning (It's 2am here)

Obligatory sry for my bad english

and thanks in advance.

I would say that looks like solid design, depending on the materials used. Most of those are aesthetics changes so it's mainly up to you but for things like the pump and such it won't have any issues as long as there is a constant supply of fluid from the reservoir to ensure the pump doesn't run dry. Going with that adding a drain for hardline is a very good idea, you will want to position it so that it is at the lowest point where the majority of the fluid drains out. Potentially maybe below the desk if that makes emptying it easier. For white fluid Mayhems Pastel is some of the best stuff out there.

For ariflow I would make sure you have more filtered intakes than exhaust as they helps prevent dust infiltration through gaps. So having the 360mm as exhaust with the rad and 140mm as intake should be good.

I would look into the cost of just getting tempered glass first, or sourcing a part that you can easily get tempered glass from since it may be cheaper, smart glass while great is still very expensive. for monitor mounts that just depends on the monitor setup but having units that say drop into a cable management hole and just have a post can save on desk space from clamps or having a large stand.
