I'm picking up a Dell Studio XPS 8100 tomorrow (175 CAD, yay!) and I want to upgrade it to make a budget gaming system. I already have my GPU (thanks @anybodykek) but I need more RAM (is 6gb enough?) I found a deal (is it good?) on an 8gb kit from G.Skill, but it's 4 sticks, and my CPU, an i5-750, only supports dual-channel RAM. Also, my motherboard (whatever board comes stock with the Dell) has 4 RAM slots, but does that mean it supports quad-channel memory? If this isn't possible, can someone please suggest an 8gb RAM kit (DDR3 1333MHz) that will work. Thanks!
