Computer shut down.

Go to solution Solved by ♠FlamieMeister♠,

Found your problem. Only minutes after 11 50 you had windows update. Windows 10 has a history of extensivly large updates and causing crashes during games. I had to deal with it. Maybe it's just windows being windows.

So new GPU. Having fun so far. Well maybe not

Just started to play Saints Row 4 and during intense fight my PC shut down.

The only thing could have caused this is the GPU or PSU? Because everything else was fine before the GPU.

So right now I am looking at my previous recording of SR4 and waas quite surprised at how FPS manage to get 60-100 dropping sometime below 60 on Ultra (everything max, even MSAA)

Temps (from the recording) was around 76 C, fan speed 50% and usage can go up to 100.

Now when I play again. FPS was very low. 20-30 fps.  (also Fan Speed was set to auto)

Event log: (anything before 11:50 can be disregarded)

I am running my PC again now. I took the risk.

Card: PowerColor RX 480 4GB Red Dragon (one fan)

PSU: Delta 500AB-6A (been told by so many it's a good unit). 500W if you can't tell by the name

For whatever reason, PowerColor screwed the pooch on their Polaris cards. Lots of DOAs in the Newegg reviews. That would be my guess because, yes, your PSU is solid. Just about anything by Delta is.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

If it was dead it should be dead permanently.

Crysis 3 ran fine yesterday. 27-40fps all maxed out

Just ran Benchmark of Tomb Raider, 22-37 fps max.

All those data are while recording too. So could be faulty then? I don't really want to RMA so soon.

Probably will have to rma. Looks like it's a gpu problem/fault. My guess is bad memory or bad gpu in total.

But it ran fine again. Like now. It is running fine. Temps fine. GPU usage low (well on idle)

Mightve been windows update or just a glitch.

Well. That could also somehow explain low GPU usage.

Restart your PC several times. Uninstall your GPU drivers and re-install them. Then re-start a few more times.
