650 Ti vs 580

Theres a GTX 580 on ebay for $10 or a EVGA 650 Ti for $12 right now. Whats a better card? Might pair it with my 8320 if I can fix it

Or a 770 for 30

It might not be much better than your 270X, what with Kepler being gimped and all. If you want used AMD is the way to go.

Those arent my only options. I would use it (a 770) for F@H and but a 1060 for the rest of my everything. IF I got a 650 or a 580 I would put it with my 8320

Well if it's bad silicon, it's probably fixable by downclocking the card, with the evident performance losses.

It probably also freezes in games.

 

I would try it, personally. Open it, give it a good clean, then flash the original BIOS for it in case it got changed (there's a GPU BIOS database over at techpowerup.com). Then see if I could make it stable by pumping voltage into it.

Its in F@H but if it freezen in games it will freeze in F@H probably. If now I get cool wall art. I mean my mom paid $80+ for some fake trees that blew away later than night
