Hey All, just need an opinion.

I currently have this built  https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/NcRLpb and wanted to go with mAtx with a smaller case. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/CstcBP Anything blue would be new to buy.

Now I heard that its possible to put a 280mm rad in this case but not 100% sure.  What are your thoughts on this?, I heard that Asrock is trash on lower end boards to. The crucial SSD is external  wont be going into the case. the 1tbx2 is in a raid 1 array. ( might removed it and add to my nas server)

Thanks!

See Cooling system section of http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/cases/arc-series/arc-mini-r2 for confirmation.

  • Top – 240mm or 360mm radiators (thick and slim); the use of 360mm radiators requires removal of the ODD cage.

thats kinda vague, can't do 280 but can do 360mm??

240mm = 2x120mm fans

360mm = 3x120mm fans

280mm = 2x140mm fans

If you take a look at

arcminir2-7b.jpg

you will note that the mounting holes are there for 120mm wide radiators. I suspect the reason 140mm wide radiators are not supported is due to potential conflicts with motherboard components.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
